Pak cricketers undergo net training session

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan team carried out its training session in the nets at the Pindi Stadium Wednesday afternoon.

All the selected players including Shaheen Shah Afridi, who returned after attending his son’s birthday celebrations, Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam participated in the net training session. The contentious rain, however, made the Pindi Stadium’s outfield damp and wet.

Both Abrar and Kamran were released from the Test squad before start of the first Test and featured for Pakistan Shaheens in a four-day game against Bangladesh ‘A’ at the Islamabad Club from August 20 to 23.

Meanwhile, Aamir Jamal, who had been released from the squad to work on his fitness at the NCA, has been recalled. Aamir’s participation in the second Test will remain subject to fitness clearance.
