LAHORE: PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed optimism that Pakistan will bounce back in the second Test against Bangladesh.
Naqvi acknowledged Bangladesh’s outstanding performance and congratulated them for their achievement. In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), he praised the Bangladeshi team for playing exceptionally well.
At the same time, Naqvi reassured fans that Pakistan’s cricket team, under the leadership of Shan Masood, has the potential to make a strong comeback in the second Test. He expressed confidence that the “men in green” would learn from their mistakes and perform better in the upcoming match.
Progress at Gaddafi stadium
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi paid a late night visit to Gaddafi Stadium to review the ongoing work on the upgradation project.
Chairman PCB inspected the excavation work in the basement and assessed the overall progress of the project. During his visit, Chairman directed that the pace of excavation work be increased and additional labour and machinery be deployed to expedite the project.
He emphasised the importance of completing the upgradation work before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, stating, “This is a challenging task. The entire team must work day and night to ensure the project’s completion before the Champions Trophy.” Chairman PCB also instructed that the work should continue in three shifts .
